Review by hotel critic
During my recent solo trip to Gateway, I approached it with a mix of curiosity and frugality, having heard mixed reviews about the balance of luxury and value. As someone who enjoys subtle comforts when traveling, the deluxe queen room exceeded my expectations without breaking the bank. It was generously spacious, complete with a lounge area and breakfast table that made for a cozy retreat after long days exploring. The amenities struck a reasonable balance; I appreciated the flat-screen TV and the electric kettle for my evening cup of tea. The bathroom was well-maintained, which is always a must for me. The welcoming staff were attentive-a pleasant touch that made my stay more enjoyable. I did stumble upon a minor hiccup in booking; I found that reserving a room online turned out to be more economical, contrary to what I'd been told at reception. It's worth noting that ample parking available at no extra cost added to the hotel's value. The bar next door allowed for relaxed evenings, though the menu was a bit limited. For travelers weighing cost against comfort, Gateway proves to be a prudent choice if you seek uncomplicated yet spacious lodging. Just remember to check for the best rates online!
